A couple of weeks ago I was invited to guest blog at My Marketing Cafe about offline, rather than online, marketing for small business.
I mentally jotted down tactics that came to mind while on the road to Asheville, North Carolina, without going off the road, (see, there’s a whole “on/off” theme here) and produced this list:
- Support of local nonprofits
- Press releases
- Marketing kits
- Tschotchkes, i.e. ninja related items (I spent way too much time thinking about this.)
- Handwritten letters/notes
- Personal visits
- Serving on boards/committees
- Business cards
But as I developed the post, I began to focus on four tactics I have used or experienced others using that build relationships and have the potential for long-term results.
